Small Wins Are More Effective In Rising to a Challenge

Look at this poor lad here. He’s told his mates and his family he’ll jump off this board today.

But the water looks very far away and awfully cold.

He wishes he’d set the bar lower.

Some of us who enjoy a bit of drama enjoy setting ourselves some big goals, but right now we’re not at our strongest.

Goals are best achieved in small steps where we build our confidence from each increment.

Bite off more than we can chew and it can put us off altogether, reducing our self-belief and undoing all the work we have done on moving forward.

Have you ever aimed too high in one go and ended up abandoning your ambition altogether?

I like to set the bar nice and low. That way we all get over it and stay in the game. I don’t want to lose people and damage their confidence.

I want to build their courage and expand their comfort zones.

So if you want to go and conquer the world, go right ahead but perhaps do it in stages!

We don’t have to go through trauma to get progress!
